Meet The Band

Picture
Will Antell, fiddle player and renowned dance-caller, has been expounding his love of the universal folk tradition for too many years to mention.
Known for his energetic, vibrant calling style and boundless enthusiasm, he will enhance any occasion.

Will has called and played for many top west country bands, including: Tear the Calico, Teasing the Cat, Fiddlestixs and The Lucy Lastic Band, he has toured extensively in Europe, Asia, and the antipodes. Also a founding member of the Intrinseca String Quartet.

Multi-intrumentalist Paul Chousmer -
here playing Accordion and Clarinet -
has a long history of doing weird stuff:
Including playing keyboards on tour with goth band Fields of the Nephilim, psychedelic band Ozric Tentacles, and French circus Archaos.

For many years ran Sherborne Jazz Club,
and currently musical director for Wessex Big Band.
A man of many hats!

Samantha Jane on the fiddle teaches violin from her home in Somerset. Currently also performing with Ollie Back, and occasional gigs with Mustang Sally. Sam toured with FolkRockRoots band State of Undress and has performed gigs with The Desi Friel Band (incl Stu Pickering & Maartin Allcock - Fairport/Tull/Bad Shepherds); also Findhorn's very magical songwriter & harpist Iona Leigh; as part of a horse-drawn traveling stage with Showman Dave Sanger and Morag of the Marsh ~ folk singer & storyteller extraordinaire. Playing country with Somerset's Gareth Austin; and touring a summer of cowgirl jazz with The Senile Delinquents. Giging and recording original songs with Wayne Whitedog. Sam has also appeared on stage with The Magic Brothers (Daevid Allen -Gong, Mark Robson -Kangaroo Moon, Graham Clark -Gong) and Boo Hewerdine.

Chris King keeps the band in time with his rhythmic guitar playing,
and keeps us entertained with a truly astonishing array of random facts.
